So, for those of you who are wondering why some products transfer, it could be a number of things. From humidity, perspiration or just that you may have overly oily eyelids. Either way, panda eyes should only be for pandas. Let’s face it, they do pull it off better than we could ever do!

I like a messy eye look, but not on every occasion and nothing kills a perfectly polished makeup application like your eye makeup slowly melting away down your face. So many ladies (and some gents) are constantly fighting a losing battle when it comes to smudged liner or mascara, some might give up and abandon the products altogether. But do not despair! There are a few possibilities to why this happens.

If you follow these simple steps, you should be able to say goodbye to those unwanted makeup mishaps for good.

Step 1:

It’s always best to start off with a fresh, clean face. This will ensure that you have removed any excess oils that may have been produced overnight, paying close attention to those eyelids. Try opt for an oil free cleanser such as mineral waters. Once the skin is lovely and clean, it’s time to moisturise.

Step 2:

Prime and conceal:

Using a primer on the lids will provide you with the perfect base, it will also anchor your eye makeup products in place. As a little additional technique, apply three little dots under the eye area, then blend out all over the lower eye area. Next, do the same but on the eyelid. Then blend out, up and out towards your brow bone. If you are after extra coverage, add some concealer and gently pat this around the eye area.

Step 3:

Eyeliner:

Try and opt for a liner that provides maximum longevity. The ‘They’re real!” Push up liner is a great one to use as it has a matte gel formula that’s also waterproof, won’t smudge and lasts 24 hours. If you have a low lying eyelid, keeping the liner tight to the lash line. This will not only prevent your liner from transferring but also make you eye appear bigger.

Step 4:

Mascara:

Simply apply your mascara by positioning your wand horizontally and give it a good wiggle from side to side. Really focus on the the base of your lashes as this will add depth. Then hold your wand vertically and stroke upwards to curl and separate. Avoiding adding loads of coats to the tips of your lashes so you avoid clumping (as that is what tends to transfer).

Step 5:

Finally, take a setting powder, sweep this under and over the entire eyelid. In doing this step, it will ensure your concealer has set and that it doesn’t move or bleed with your liner.

So there you go guys, hope this helps for those unwanted panda eyes. Do you have any extra little tips you’d love to add? Just let us know via Twitter @Truebelle!
