We all want flawless looking skin right?
The key to achieving natural glowing skin isn’t when you applying makeup but the preparation too the skin beforehand. You skin doesn’t look it’s best when it’s tired or cracking or even too oily, but if you were to prep your skin correctly before you hit the makeup routine, you might just find you won’t need to apply too much to fix or correct any skin situations you may be facing.
Skin Preparation.
Firstly you will need to found out whether your skin is dry or oily and then find the creams, lotions and potions most suitable for your skin needs. If you have a ‘thirsty’ skin type then opting for a hydrating face cream but if your skin is on the oily side then head for a cream that is oil free.
Exfoliating
Once you have washed your face, using a cleanser that is for your skin’s needs. Exfoliate with a scrub or a liquid exfoliator that is gentle enough for your skin to be used on a daily basis. Scrubbing away dead skin cells with help to create an even skin surface, which helps to achieve a flawless makeup look. Plus your skin will also look a lot brighter and healthier. If you feel like multi tasking, you can also buy an exfoliating cleanser.
Toner
If you are prone to breaks-outs or just having really oily skin, or if you feel like there is some makeup residue left behind then using a toner can help with this. This step isn’t necessary but does provide your skin with extra cleansing. Most toners are often formulated to provide you with soothing, and hydrating qualities.
Serum
Whether you are using a serum for it’s firming, hyperpigmentation or just brightening your skin tone, serums are great for this. They work a treat and help correct. Think of serums as vitamins but for your face.
Facial Moisturiser
Firstly, you have to choose a moisturiser that is suitable for your face. One that is to heavy for your skin or if you have over applied, will leave you feeling greasy after about minutes after you have applied it. To multi task with the moisturiser, use one that has SPF.
Eye Cream
The best way to use an eye cream is to apply it with your ring finger (clean). Par your under eye area gently. By dabbing the product into your skin, this helps increase the circulation and helps to move the cream deeper into the skin.
Sunscreen
If you haven’t already applied a moisturiser with SPF then now is the time to do so
Primer
This step will ensure that your makeup doesn’t slide off your face throughout the day. Using a primer before your foundation and concealer will help you achieve effortless makeup look with great results.
While all these steps seem to be a lot, you will find that doing them will get and keep you skin in really good shape and perfect palette for you to apply your makeup too.
