Figuring out the shape of your face sounds a lot easier than done. Much like the art of achieving flawless winged liner or the perfect yet messy bun. Trying the ‘trick’ of tracing your face in a mirror sounds like a great idea yet to be left with a blob on your mirror that more resembles a puddle like form and not a face shape, then we feel for you as the same has happened to many before you.

Square Face
If the sides of your face are straight yet your jawline is slightly at an angle with a minimal curve to it and your face is a wide as is long then you have a square face.
Diamond Face
To establish whether you have a diamond shape face is if someone was to draw lines from the centre of your hairline down to your cheeks then down to your chin, it would create the shape of a diamond. Pointed chins and high cheekbones make a diamond face.
The difference between the diamond face and the heart shaped face is the hairline. The diamond face hairline will be narrower.
Oblong Face
Also known as rectangular face shape. This face shape is similar to the square shaped face but are longer than they are wide. Your forehead, cheeks and jawline are all pretty much the same width and your chin will have a very slight curve.
Heart Face
If your forehead is the widest part of your face and you chin is pointed then you have a heart shaped face. Picture an upside down triangle. Some people with a heart shaped face may also have a widows peak at the hairline, ( a V shaped point in the hairline ) but you can still have a heart shaped face without one.
Round Face.
The round shape face is a square face just with softer angles. Instead of the sides of your face being straight, the sides will curve outwards slightly. Your cheekbones will be the widest part of your face and your chin rounded.
Oval Face
Picture an upside down egg. Your forehead will be a tiny bit wider than your chin. Similar to the oblong face, just with a softer chin and more of a curve to the sides of your face.
